Porton Pharma Solutions Ltd. (“Porton”) successfully concluded its participation at BIO International Convention 2026, held from June 22 to 25 in San Diego, California. BIO 2026 drew 418 exhibitors and more than 20,000 industry professionals from over 70 countries and regions. The agenda centered on next-generation biologics, AI-driven drug discovery, rare disease R&D, emerging market opportunities, and biomanufacturing innovation. At Booth 4459, Porton showcased its integrated CDMO capabilities across Small Molecules, TIDES, Biologics and Conjugates, and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products. During the four-day event, Porton's technical and business development teams engaged with global customers and partners on a range of discussion topics, including development needs and scale-up strategies. Each conversation reflected a shared focus on practical pathways to advance programs, and underscored the strong trust that customers place in Porton's CMC capabilities across both small molecule and novel therapeutic modalities.
Celebrating Porton J-STAR’s 30th Anniversary
During BIO 2026 on June 23, Porton held a special reception at Hilton San Diego Bayfront to honor the 30-year milestone of its U.S. subsidiary, J-STAR Research Inc.. As part of Porton’s U.S. presence, J-STAR has supported pharmaceutical and biotech partners for three decades by helping address complex chemistry and formulation challenges with strong scientific expertise and customer-centric solutions.
The reception brought together customers, partners, industry colleagues, and members of the Porton J-STAR teams for an evening of networking and celebration. The warm and laid-back atmosphere fostered meaningful exchanges, reinforcing the relationships that have been built over the years.
Dr. Hui Chen, General Manager and CEO of Porton J-STAR, addressed the gathering: "For thirty years, Porton J-STAR has stood side by side with our partners, meeting every challenge with shared determination and solid science. We extend our sincere gratitude to all who have been part of this journey. That trust has driven us to focus on what matters most: combining rigorous science with an integrated R&D framework that bridges drug substance and drug product development, so we can move promising candidates from early discovery all the way to the clinic, together with our partners."
The reception concluded with heartfelt toasts and well-wishes. Three decades have given Porton J‑STAR a strong technical foundation and a mature project delivery framework. This milestone serves as both a moment to look back and a new starting point for continued progress in global health.
With BIO 2026 now concluded, Porton sincerely thanks all customers, partners, and industry peers who visited our booth, met with our team, or joined the Porton J-STAR 30th Anniversary Reception. Moving forward, Porton will continue to strengthen its CMC capabilities and provide customer-centric, innovative, and reliable CDMO solutions to support partners across the full drug development journey, enabling earlier access to good medicines.
